There are three priests belonging to our Diocese of Dromore currently serving in our parish. Two Polish priests also serve in Newry, one from the Society of Christ and one diocesan priest. There is also a community of Dominican priests and brothers. Together, they serve the needs of some 29,000 people in Newry Parish.

Administrator: Canon Francis Brown
Canon Francis, a native of Hilltown, was ordained on 9th June 1974. He is the former President, and a past pupil, of St. Colman’s College, Newry.
Fr Alphonsus Chukwunenye

Fr Alphonsus is a Missionary of St. Paul from Nigeria. He was appointed as curate in Newry Parish in September 2020.
Fr Callum Young

Fr Callum is from London. He joined the Redemptoris Mater Seminary in Dundalk in 2012. As part of his missionary formation, he spent some time in the Middle East, in the Holy Land, Dubai and Bahrain. Father Callum was ordained in 2021.

Deacon Carlos Esteban Rojo
Rev. Deacon Carlos Esteban Rojo is a seminarian from Redemptoris Mater Seminary, Dundalk. He will, please God, be ordained to the priesthood in May 2023.
